Calvin Klein London Campaign
Draws Huge Crowds
If only all digital campaigns could get crowds of 18 – 30 women paying attention like this (see below) there’d surely be no need for DPAA, OMAC or OVAB or any other organisation to sell the merits of the medium...
But then again:-
not all of the campaigns feature fit good looking buff young men in nothing except for a pair of Calvin Klein underpants
not all digital screens are driven into the heart of a city and placed where there are plenty of people who will respond best to the campaign in question
We spotted this van in London last week and believe it is part of Calvin Klein’s ‘9 Countries, 9 Men, 1 Winner competition‘...

On-vehicle screens can be more than mobile digital billboards, as British firm SA Screen Media is proving with a series of campaigns using its Digiadvans – small trucks with large displays mounted on the side and, crucially, interactive capabilities.
“We have very intelligent tools which allow us to draw the crowds and target audiences such as touchscreens, [Nintendo] Wii, live TV and live Internet connections right there on the street. With this we bring the target closer to the brand which is being communicated,” said Scott Anthony, SA Screen Media's MD...

Capturing the public's imagination with Canon
Looking for a way to promote a new range of digital SLR cameras and training workshops for customers, Canon Netherlands asked SA Screen Media to come up with an innovative and exciting outdoor advertising campaign. SA Screen Media took the brief and ran with it, turning the advertising campaign into a fully interactive product sampling campaign.
Canon cameras were connected to the large format screens of the SA Digiadvans allowing members of the public the opportunity to test the products right on the high street
and more importantly see the result immediately on the large screens. Brand ambassadors were also on hand to offer technical advice and even demonstrate the advanced features of the cameras to a mass audience using the cameras connected to the Digiadvans.
3 SA Digiadvans toured major cities throughout the Netherlands during the month of December, making this one of SA Screen Media's most ambitious campaigns to date. The interactive features of the Digiadvan's allowed members of the public to interact with products in a way they would never be able to inside stores and retail store owners in the Netherlands reported making sales directly as a result of the Digiadvan demonstrations. Such immediate conversions are rarely seen in sampling campaigns.
